Dental Crowns & Bridges
The Doctors and team at Valley Arts Dental pride ourselves on providing minimally invasive and preventative dental treatment, but occasionally the time comes where a tooth, or even multiple teeth require dental Crowns, or bridges.
Dental Crowns
We might prescribe a dental crown for a number of reasons, but some of the most common include:
-To prevent a cracked tooth from becoming worse
-To restore a tooth with an existing filling
-To restore a dental implant
-To restore a tooth where a cavity or chip is so large that a filling would not suffice
-To improve the appearance of some teeth
Dental Crown Aftercare
Once you have a dental crown, it is critical to maintain proper care of your teeth. Occasionally we hear the sentiment form patients that a tooth is now indestructible because it has a crown. While it is true that with proper care, a well made crown can last 8+ years, it is critical to maintain proper oral home care, including regular flossing, brushing, as well as staying up to date with routine dental visits.
